Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) combines ideas from Cognitive Therapy (which is concerned with thoughts, memories, mental images) and Behavioural Therapy (which is concerned with learnt behaviours and actions). This theraeutic approach looks at thoughts, feelings, ohysical sensations and behaviours and aims to teach clients how each of these effect and interact with each other, and how they can be worked with to effect positive change.

Research has suggested that CBT can be helpful with a number of issues including depression, anxiety and phobias.
